How I Work

What's said between us stays between us.

Coaching only works when you feel completely safe to say what's really going on. This page explains how I protect that space and what you can expect from the moment we start working together.

The foundation of everything we do

I believe every person already has the resources they need to overcome the challenges in their life and get to where they want to be. My job isn't to tell you what to do — it's to create the right conditions for you to think clearly, explore honestly, and decide what comes next on your own terms.

That only happens when you feel genuinely safe. Not just professionally safe but also personally safe. Safe enough to say the things you haven't said out loud yet. Safe enough to be uncertain, or frustrated, or stuck, without any of it going anywhere beyond this room.

"

Everything that is said in our sessions stays with me. Full stop.

How confidentiality works in practice

As a member of the EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council), I'm bound by strict confidentiality clauses and ethical guidelines. But beyond the professional obligations, this is a personal commitment I take seriously.

Just the two of us

I work as a sole coach. I'm not part of a wider organisation, so there's no risk of anyone else reading information they shouldn't. What you share doesn't travel anywhere.

No digital records

I don't keep digital records of anything we discuss. Any handwritten notes I take are anonymised, locked away, and shredded once our programme is complete.

Data protection

Everything I do is in line with the Information Commissioner's strict guidelines on data protection. Your privacy is protected at every step, from first contact to the end of our work together.

EMCC member

As an EMCC member, I follow a strict code of ethics that puts your wellbeing and confidentiality at the centre of every coaching relationship. This isn't optional — it's the foundation.

Where we work

In-person sessions take place in my private office — a quiet, comfortable space where you won't be overheard and where you can speak freely from the moment you walk in.

For online coaching

Online sessions work just as well as face-to-face, and the same level of confidentiality applies. The one thing I'd ask is that you find a private space where you can't be overheard before we begin. Your side of the conversation matters just as much as mine.

A safe space to say what's really going on

Feeling completely comfortable is as important to me as it is to you. Some of the most important conversations I've had with clients are the ones that took a little courage to start. I want you to know that whatever you bring into this space — uncertainty, frustration, things you haven't been able to say anywhere else — it stays here.

I also know that for many leaders, particularly those in visible or senior roles, there can be a quiet concern about reaching out for support at all. A worry that it might be seen as a sign of weakness, or that word might somehow get out. I understand that concern, and I want to address it directly: there is no wider organisation, no system, no paper trail. Just a private conversation between two people.

That's not a small thing. It's the whole point.

Have a question before you commit to anything?

If you have any questions about how I work or what to expect, I'm always happy to have a conversation first. No obligation, no pressure — just a chance to find out whether this feels right for you.
