Real Results

Leaders Across Sectors

These are real coaching stories — anonymised where requested. The challenges differ, but the outcomes share a common thread: clarity, confidence, and a sense of purpose restored.

Healthcare · NHS

Debbie, a senior NHS staff nurse, stepped into a department affected by bullying, grievances, and low trust. Over nine months of coaching, she overcame imposter syndrome, created a clear strategy, and made several courageous decisions. She now leads with clarity, confidence, and compassion — having built a values-led culture from the ground up.

"She started to see herself how others saw her."

Hospitality · International HR

Pauline, HR Country Manager at an international hospitality organisation, came to coaching close to burnout after losing half her team to restructuring. In six months, she moved from constant firefighting to strategic leadership — renegotiating resources, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and creating a sustainable way of operating.

"She felt calmer, more in control, and better equipped to lead through uncertainty."

Higher Education · University

Jonathan, a senior executive at a university, came to coaching feeling stuck and increasingly disconnected from his work. Through coaching, he reconnected with his own influence and potential, improved stakeholder relationships, and created new projects aligned to his strengths. He chose to stay — having rediscovered his energy and sense of purpose.

"He got his mojo back — and others noticed."

"
We are living through an extremely uncertain and constantly changing period, especially at work. During a particularly delicate situation, our sessions helped me find the right words — assertive, clear, and grounded. One question I will always carry with me is: "So what are your options?"

"
Incredible coaching service. I came to Ute post-burnout, feeling disconnected from my career goals. Through our sessions, I gained insights and a level of clarity I didn't think was possible. Truly a life-changing experience that has helped me get back on track.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from a coaching session?
Each session is a forward-looking, confidential conversation focused entirely on you and your goals. Sessions typically last 60 to 75 minutes and follow a structure tailored to what you bring on the day. You will be asked powerful questions, challenged with warmth and honesty, and supported to find your own answers. There are no prescriptive models or generic frameworks — every session is bespoke. Between sessions, you will agree on actions or reflections to work on. Over time, this builds real momentum and lasting behavioural change.
How quickly will I see results?
Most clients report a meaningful shift in clarity and reduced overwhelm within the first three to four sessions. Early gains typically include clearer priorities, better boundary-setting, and more confidence in difficult conversations. Deeper, more sustained changes — such as a consistent shift in leadership presence or significant improvement in team performance — generally emerge between sessions three and eight. The coaching is deliberately paced to your goals, not a prescribed timeline.
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching is entirely forward-looking. It starts from the assumption that you are capable, resourceful, and have the answers within you — the coach's role is to help you access them. Therapy typically focuses on healing past experiences and resolving emotional difficulties. While coaching may occasionally touch on how past experiences have shaped your current thinking, the primary focus is always on where you want to go and what you need to do to get there. If therapeutic support is needed, this will be discussed openly and an appropriate referral made.
Can my organisation fund the coaching?
Yes. Many clients access coaching through their organisation's learning and development budget, HR function, or as part of a talent development programme. Business-funded packages include 360-degree feedback and a professional summary report, which organisations often find valuable for demonstrating the investment's impact. All coaching content remains strictly confidential regardless of who funds the engagement. If you need support making the business case internally, this can be discussed on the discovery call.
What makes Ute's coaching different from other executive coaches?
Ute brings 24 years of real, senior leadership experience — not just coaching theory. As a former Regional Director leading thousands of colleagues through complexity, change, and relentless operational pressure, she understands what it actually feels like to carry the weight of leadership. This lived experience, combined with an ILM Level 7 qualification, two Masters degrees (Executive Coaching and High Performance Leadership), and a degree in Psychology, means the coaching is both emotionally intelligent and grounded in evidence-based practice. It is not generic life coaching — it is rigorous, structured, and tailored to the real demands of organisational leadership.
Are sessions available online or in person?
All coaching is delivered online via video call or by telephone, which means you can access it from anywhere in the UK, Europe, or North America. For clients based in or near South Wales, face-to-face sessions can also be arranged. Coaching is available in both English and German.
